Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Christies in London held the auction First Open Online, which included the work Orphic Highlands by Richard Mosse. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,846.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Mosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nowhere to Run (Infra series), which sold at auction in May 2019 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,447.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orphic Highlands von Richard Mosse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.846,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Mosse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nowhere to Run (Infra series) beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.447,75) versteigert wurde.
