Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2021 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam, which included the work each: Stone Drawing by Richard Long. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Long achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit each: Stone Drawing von Richard Long zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Long erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
