Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Washington Holiday, from An American Portrait, Volume II: Not Songs of Loyalty Alone by Richard Lindner for USD 140.25 (€ 131.10). This price was achieved in the auction Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Lindner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stranger N°1 - 1958 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 802,600.00.
