Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Painting 3 January 1959 by Richard Lin was auctioned at Christies in New York in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 57,873.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Lin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work January 1967 in September 2018 with an auction result of HKD 7,670,000.00 (€ 844,082.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Painting 3 January 1959 von Richard Lin kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 57.873,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Lin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit January 1967 im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.670.000,00 (€ 844.082,77).
