Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Andrew' by Richard Learoyd was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,915.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Learoyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tatiana Standing', which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 57,500.00.

Die Arbeit 'Andrew' von Richard Learoyd wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.915,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Learoyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tatiana Standing' beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 57.500,00 versteigert wurde.
