In September 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Photographs, which included the work Jasmijn In Black With Hands by Richard Learoyd. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,510.32) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Learoyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tatiana Standing', which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 57,500.00.

Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jasmijn In Black With Hands von Richard Learoyd zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.510,32) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Learoyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tatiana Standing' beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 57.500,00 versteigert wurde.
