Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tri-Motion, 1995 by Richard Hunt was sold in the PLAYBOY AT 50 auction at Christies in New York in December 2003. The price achieved of USD 4,780.00 (€ 3,794.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wing Bloom in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 119,000.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tri-Motion, 1995 von Richard Hunt wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion PLAYBOY AT 50 bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.780,00 (€ 3.794,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Hunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wing Bloom im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 119.000,60).
