Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Eiffel Tower Restaurant by Richard Estes. The price achieved of GBP 640.00 (€ 640.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Estes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gifts of Nature in March this year with an auction result of USD 1,284,000.00 (€ 1,181,015.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eiffel Tower Restaurant von Richard Estes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 640,00 (€ 640,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Estes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gifts of Nature im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.284.000,00 (€ 1.181.015,45).
