Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Café de Paris by Richard Edward Miller. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,529.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Edward Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tea-Time in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,087,500.00 (€ 1,028,077.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Café de Paris von Richard Edward Miller zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 19.529,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Edward Miller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tea-Time im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.087.500,00 (€ 1.028.077,14).
