Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Henrietta Dundas, Later Viscountess Duncan Of Camperdown (1749-1832) by Richard Cosway was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,175.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Cosway achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Maria Fitzherbert in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 89,207.10).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Henrietta Dundas, Later Viscountess Duncan Of Camperdown (1749-1832) von Richard Cosway kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.175,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Cosway erzielen.
