Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work White Painting Xii by Richard Allen. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,102.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Allen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Warm Pink And Yellow, which sold at auction in March 2014 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,668.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Painting Xii von Richard Allen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.102,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Allen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Warm Pink And Yellow beobachtet, die im März 2014 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.668,20) versteigert wurde.
