Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Warp by Richard Allen was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in March 2016. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,102.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Allen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Warm Pink And Yellow, which sold at auction in March 2014 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,668.20).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.102,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Allen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Warm Pink And Yellow beobachtet, die im März 2014 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.668,20) versteigert wurde.
