Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Randall's Island, East River, New York by Richard Alan Schmid. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,572.50 (€ 6,709.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Alan Schmid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Azaleas & Oranges in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,807.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Randall's Island, East River, New York von Richard Alan Schmid zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.572,50 (€ 6.709,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Alan Schmid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Azaleas & Oranges im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 147.807,90).
