In June 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living With Art, which included the work Mountain Laurel, Iris and Daffodils by Richard Alan Schmid. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,129.08) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Alan Schmid have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Azaleas & Oranges in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,807.90).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living With Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Laurel, Iris and Daffodils von Richard Alan Schmid zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.129,08) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Alan Schmid auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Azaleas & Oranges im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 147.807,90).
