Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Retna was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,312.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Retna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sorcery of My Style, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 100,800.00 (€ 120,200.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Retna kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.312,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Retna mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sorcery of My Style beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 100.800,00 (€ 120.200,44) versteigert wurde.
