Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 2021 by Retna was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,774.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Retna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sorcery of My Style in April last year with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 120,200.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 2021 von Retna wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.774,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Retna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sorcery of My Style im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 120.200,44).
