Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Porte Place (Door Space) by René Daniels. It changed hands for a price of EUR 15,000.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by René Daniels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eindelijk in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 241,580.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Porte Place (Door Space) von René Daniels zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 15.000,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 16.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von René Daniels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eindelijk im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 241.580,60).
