Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ren Zhe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Modern Asian Art auction, the work Above The Cloud sold for HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 154,827.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ren Zhe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Infinite Sprit of Allegiance sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 280,315.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Zhe erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Above The Cloud für HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 154.827,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ren Zhe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Infinite Sprit of Allegiance im Oktober 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 280.315,10).
