Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reading in Autumn Forest by Ren Yu was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 900.00 – 1,900.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,125.00 (€ 967.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,800,000.00 (€ 265,471.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reading in Autumn Forest von Ren Yu kam im September 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 900,00 – 1.900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.125,00 (€ 967,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.800.000,00 (€ 265.471,12).
