Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Figures In An Ornamental Garden by Remigio Cantagallina was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 875.00 (€ 779.09). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Remigio Cantagallina achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of The Countryside Around The Village Of Pratieghi, With An Artist Sketching In The Foreground in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,563.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Figures In An Ornamental Garden von Remigio Cantagallina im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 875,00 (€ 779,09) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Remigio Cantagallina erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View Of The Countryside Around The Village Of Pratieghi, With An Artist Sketching In The Foreground im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.563,60).
