This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Remigio Cantagallina - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Of The Countryside Around The Village Of Pratieghi, With An Artist Sketching In The Foreground, which sold at auction in January 2013 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,563.60).
