Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Mujer libélula (Dragonfly Woman) by Remedios Varo was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in May 2017. The price achieved of USD 394,000.00 (€ 350,658.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Remedios Varo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Armonía (Autorretrato Sugerente) in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 6,186,800.00 (€ 5,508,681.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Mujer libélula (Dragonfly Woman) von Remedios Varo wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 394.000,00 (€ 350.658,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Remedios Varo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Armonía (Autorretrato Sugerente) im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.186.800,00 (€ 5.508.681,33).
