Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Reimond Kimpe could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Portrait of A Sailor changed hands for EUR 2,400.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reimond Kimpe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playing Tennis in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 59,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Reimond Kimpe konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of A Sailor für EUR 2.400,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Reimond Kimpe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playing Tennis im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 59.100,00.
