Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl by Reg Butler was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,443.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reg Butler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Standing in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74).

Die Arbeit Girl von Reg Butler wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.443,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
