Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ada Gula Ada Semut (Where There is Sugar There are Ants) by Redy Rahadian was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. The price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,057.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 65,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Redy Rahadian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Warrior, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,800.82).

Die Arbeit Ada Gula Ada Semut (Where There is Sugar There are Ants) von Redy Rahadian wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.057,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 65.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Redy Rahadian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Warrior beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.800,82) versteigert wurde.
