Auction result well in line with expectations
The work B-Movie by Ray Richardson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2021. The price achieved of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,691.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ray Richardson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ostenders in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 37,666.96).
