Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Not Playing For Sweets by Ray Richardson for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,312.86). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ray Richardson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ostenders in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 37,666.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Not Playing For Sweets von Ray Richardson für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.312,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ray Richardson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ostenders im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.900,00 (€ 37.666,96).
