Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Philadelphia (77FK28), aus der Serie „Pictus Interruptus“, 1976–1980. by Ray Metzker for EUR 2,812.00. This price was achieved in the auction Sommer 2021 - Photographie at Grisebach and was even below the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ray Metzker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composites: Tall Grove Of Nudes in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 92,599.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Philadelphia (77FK28), aus der Serie „Pictus Interruptus“, 1976–1980. von Ray Metzker für EUR 2.812,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Sommer 2021 - Photographie bei Grisebach erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ray Metzker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composites: Tall Grove Of Nudes im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 92.599,59).
