Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Raúl Martínez could be acquired at Phillips in New York in May 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin America auction, the work Cuba no está sola changed hands for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,842.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raúl Martínez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosas y estrellas in October this year with an auction result of USD 60,480.00 (€ 57,229.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raúl Martínez konnte im Mai 2015 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin America wechselte die Arbeit Cuba no está sola für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.842,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raúl Martínez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosas y estrellas im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 57.229,37).
