Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A still life with a pipe, tobacco and walnuts by Raúl Martínez. The price achieved of EUR 1,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raúl Martínez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosas y estrellas in October this year with an auction result of USD 60,480.00 (€ 57,229.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with a pipe, tobacco and walnuts von Raúl Martínez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raúl Martínez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosas y estrellas im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 57.229,37).
