Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Offshore Accounts - 1 by Rashid Rana was auctioned at Sothebys in Doha in October 2014. The price achieved of USD 71,875.00 (€ 57,362.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rashid Rana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Veil #6 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 325,250.00 (€ 413,233.79).

Die Arbeit Offshore Accounts - 1 von Rashid Rana kam im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Doha zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 71.875,00 (€ 57.362,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rashid Rana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Veil #6 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.250,00 (€ 413.233,79).
