Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Women Threshing; Standing Nude; Woman at the Window) by Ramkinkar Baij was sold in the A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection auction at Christies in New York in September 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,267.96), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ramkinkar Baij - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Festive Eve, which sold at auction in December 2013 for INR 5,250,000.00 (€ 61,724.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Women Threshing; Standing Nude; Woman at the Window) von Ramkinkar Baij wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.267,96) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ramkinkar Baij mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Festive Eve beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für INR 5.250.000,00 (€ 61.724,36) versteigert wurde.
