Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Cat with Fish) by Ramkinkar Baij was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,000.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ramkinkar Baij have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Festive Eve in December 2013 with an auction result of INR 5,250,000.00 (€ 61,724.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Cat with Fish) von Ramkinkar Baij kam im September 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.000,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ramkinkar Baij auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Festive Eve im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 5.250.000,00 (€ 61.724,36).
