The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,334.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ramkinkar Baij - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Festive Eve, which sold at auction in December 2013 for INR 5,250,000.00 (€ 61,724.36).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Farmers in a Field) von Ramkinkar Baij wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.334,70) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ramkinkar Baij mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Festive Eve beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für INR 5.250.000,00 (€ 61.724,36) versteigert wurde.
