Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work Siesta sold for GBP 50,000.00 (€ 59,639.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pierrette in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 281,000.00 (€ 331,133.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Siesta für GBP 50.000,00 (€ 59.639,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pierrette im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 281.000,00 (€ 331.133,63).
