Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mi delirios sobre el chimborazo de Simón Bolívar unframed by Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,534.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pierrette in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 281,000.00 (€ 331,133.63).
