In August 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included this untitled work by Rafael Coronel. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,567.02) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rafael Coronel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peregrinos Iv in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 107,768.40).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im August 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rafael Coronel zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.567,02) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rafael Coronel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peregrinos Iv im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 107.768,40).
