Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elia by Rafael Coronel was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,016.00 (€ 2,029.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rafael Coronel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peregrinos Iv in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 107,768.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Elia von Rafael Coronel wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.016,00 (€ 2.029,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rafael Coronel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peregrinos Iv im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 107.768,40).
