Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included this untitled work by Rafael Coronel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,640.00 (€ 16,225.17), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rafael Coronel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peregrinos Iv in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 107,768.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rafael Coronel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 16.225,17) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rafael Coronel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peregrinos Iv im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 107.768,40).
