Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rachel Harrison could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Voyage of the Beagle, Three (Sixth Set, #40-51) changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,863.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rachel Harrison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Nineties in March last year with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 79,509.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rachel Harrison konnte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Voyage of the Beagle, Three (Sixth Set, #40-51) für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.863,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rachel Harrison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Nineties im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 79.509,60).
