Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection Online, which included the work Untitled; Before the Descent by Rabin Mondal. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,133.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rabin Mondal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man Acting As King in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,585.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled; Before the Descent von Rabin Mondal zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.133,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rabin Mondal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man Acting As King im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.585,42).
