Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interference 2 by Rabin Mondal was sold in the An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2007. The price achieved of USD 20,400.00 (€ 14,878.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rabin Mondal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man Acting As King, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,585.42).

Die Arbeit Interference 2 von Rabin Mondal wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 14.878,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rabin Mondal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man Acting As King beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.585,42) versteigert wurde.
