A top price for Rabin Mondal - as previously expected
The work Man Acting As King by Rabin Mondal was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,585.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Man Acting As King is the most expensive artwork by Rabin Mondal that we have observed at auctions so far.
