Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Relation Viii by Rabin Mondal was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. The price achieved of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,458.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rabin Mondal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man Acting As King, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,585.42).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.458,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rabin Mondal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man Acting As King beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.585,42) versteigert wurde.
