This artwork by Qiu Xiaofei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Interview sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,603.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Xiaofei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Desolate Wood in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 400,997.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Xiaofei erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Interview für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.603,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Xiaofei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Desolate Wood im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 400.997,07).
