In June 2021 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction, which included the work White Goose by Qin Qi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 378,000.00 (€ 41,060.60), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Qin Qi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Beautiful Ride No. 1 in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Goose von Qin Qi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 378.000,00 (€ 41.060,60) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qin Qi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Beautiful Ride No. 1 im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 164.345,17).
