A top price for Qin Qi - as previously expected
The work A Beautiful Ride No. 1 by Qin Qi was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The auction ended at the price of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Beautiful Ride No. 1 is the most expensive artwork by Qin Qi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit A Beautiful Ride No. 1 von Qin Qi wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 164.345,17) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.500.000,00.
