This artwork by Qin Qi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October 2021. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Cooks And Geese No.1 (Painted In 2015) sold for HKD 1,056,000.00 (€ 117,465.37) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 560,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Qin Qi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Beautiful Ride No. 1 sold at auction in July 2020 with the realized price of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17).
