In October 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Noble And Longevity by Qian Zai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,663.38), 42% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Qian Zai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms In Ink in May 2005 with an auction result of HKD 1,200,000.00 (€ 124,965.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Noble And Longevity von Qian Zai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.663,38) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Zai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms In Ink im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.200.000,00 (€ 124.965,58).
