Sold at the lower estimate price
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Ink Bamboo by Qian Zai. The result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,026.65) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Zai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossoms In Ink in May 2005 with an auction result of HKD 1,200,000.00 (€ 124,965.58).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ink Bamboo von Qian Zai zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.026,65) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Zai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossoms In Ink im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.200.000,00 (€ 124.965,58).
